Bharuch chemical factory fire leaves six people dead, PM Modi condoles

Bharuch: Six workers were killed and two others managed to escape after a sudden blast triggered a fire which engulfed the entire section at a chemical factory at Dahej area in Bharuch district of Gujarat early Monday morning.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other central leaders condoled the deaths in the tragedy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi posted: "PM @narendramodi has expressed grief on the loss of lives due to a mishap at a factory in Bharuch. He extends condolences to the bereaved families."

"An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of the deceased. The injured would be given Rs. 50,000," he said.

"Saddened by the news of the mishap at a factory in Bharuch, Gujarat.
Deepest condolences to the families of the victims. Wish a speedy recovery to the injured," External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar tweeted.
