Bengaluru, Jan 7 (IBNS): It is barely a week that Bengaluru was shamed with videos of mass molestation on New Year's eve and assault of a woman while returning home, another CCTV footage has come to fore where a woman in Burqa was attacked by a man early on Friday morning in northern part of the city.

According to reports, a young woman wearing a Burqa was grabbed and pinned to the ground by a man in North Bengaluru's KG Haali residential area while she was walking on a road on her way to work.

The incident was captured in camera where it was seen that the man followed the woman before attacking her.

The girl was seen screaming for help and struggling to escape from her attacker.

She reportedly received abrasions on her legs, arms and her tongue was cut.

The attacker managed to flee from the spot as dogs' barking raised an alarm in the area.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital by the residents of the area.

Police are now investigating the case and have launched search operation to nab the accused.
