Kolkata/UNI: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Thursday once again gave a call to "march to Delhi" pressing for her government's demands from the Centre.

Banerjee on Thursday said, "We will make sure our voice reaches the ears of the leaders in Delhi for the due funds of the poor people of Bengal."

"For far too long, the people of Bengal have been bearing the brunt of withheld MGNREGA and Awas Yojana funds," Banerjee stated.

"But, we will not bow down," she asserted.

"We shall march to Delhi, carrying the heartfelt letters written by the affected people, " the Chief Minister said and added, "Together, we stand firm and unwavering, for Bengal and its people."

On Wednesday, she said, "Despite being the best performing state in the MGNREGA Scheme, the Centre has stopped funds out of sheer jealousy and vendetta politics. "

"We will take the fight to Delhi," Banerjee added.

"No longer will the people of Bengal tolerate the BJP-led Central Government’s deprivation," the party said.

"For more than two years, they have withheld ₹6,907 crore of funds under the 100-day work programme. We are prepared to fight head on and ensure that our people get their rightful dues."

"BJP-led Central Government's politics of vendetta must end. Their wrongful withholding of funds due to Bengal under MGNREGA and Awas Yojna has caused immense suffering and deprivation."

"Resolved to fight for people's rights, we shall take their cause to the power corridors of Delhi and persist until justice is served."
