Bengal Guv Jagdeep Dhankhar shown 'black flags' during his visit to post-poll violence-hit Cooch Behar
Cooch Behar/West Bengal/IBNS: A group of locals reportedly showed black flags and shouted 'go back' slogans at West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar in Cooch Behar's Dinhata while the constitutional head of the state was visiting post-poll violence-hit areas on Thursday amid a war of words with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
According to reports, Dhankhar and BJP's Cooch Behar MP Nisith Pramanik's convoy faced the agitation at Dinhata's Madanmohan More area when they were returning after meeting a local BJP leader whose house was allegedly vandalized in post-poll violence.
During the situation, the Governor was seen coming out of his vehicle and shouting at local police officials- "what the hell is happening here"- when BJP MP Nisith Pramanik had started chasing the mob who was shouting slogans.
Taking the matter to social media, Jagdeep Dhankhar tweeted: "People are in mortal fear of police and ruling dispensation workers. A dozen ruling party workers could stop my convoy, with no fear of law and police. Such state of affairs! I had to intervene finding they were determined to involve with my security."

In the last two days, Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar had visited multiple locations in North Bengal which were reportedly hit by large-scale post-poll violence.
