Beat up cops, TMC goons if you are attacked: Dilip Ghosh tells BJP workers

| @indiablooms | Aug 27, 2019, at 10:59 pm

Kolkata, Aug 27 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) West Bengal unit chief Dilip Ghosh on Tuesday stirred controversy by asking his party men to beat up the cops and Trinamool Congress activists as revenge in case they come under attack.

The police filed an FIR in East Midnapore district against Ghosh for allegedly inciting violence.

In his address to the party workers, the BJP MP from Bengal said: "Don't be scared of TMC goons and police personnel. It has become a regular affair that BJP workers are attacked in various parts of the state. Instead of arresting the culprits, the police are implicating our boys in false cases."

"If you are attacked, beat up TMC workers and police personnel. Don't be afraid. We will manage if there is any problem," he said during a party programme at Mecheda in East Midnapore district on Monday night.

He also justified later that if BJP men are attacked regularly, then what is "wrong in beating up a few cops or TMC goons."

Ghosh said that if the Centre can put ex-Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram in jail then these TMC goons are like "mosquitoes and insects" to his party.
