Bangalore couple arrested for assaulting 13-yr-old domestic help

Bangalore, Aug 10 (IBNS): A couple has been arrested in Bangalore for allegedly hitting their 13-year-old domestic help, reports said.
The girl has suffered severe head injuries and multiple abrasions all over her body.
 
According to reports, she was hit regularly.
 
The girl is on life support and is in a critical condition, reports said.
 
The girl was brought to Bangalore from Darjeeling. Preliminary investigations have revealed that the girl was regularly beaten up for not working fast enough, a CNN-IBN report said.
 
According to the police, the couple has committed a crime under child labour prevention act as the child is below 14 years of age.
