B Tech student murder case: Main accused presented before CBI court

Ranchi, Jun 28 (UNI) The main accused in the murder of B Tech student was today presented before the court of special CBI judge Anuj Kumar Gudiya here.

During the hearing in the court the CBI demanded that his judicial custody be extended by another 9 days. Tomorrow also the hearing will continue in the case.

The main accused Rahul Rai who is also a B Tech student was taken into custody by the CBI on June 22 from Lucknow jail where he was lodged in connection with another rape case.

Rahul is the main accused in the rape and murder of a B Tech girl which had took place on December 16, 2016 in Booty Basti of Ranchi.

The girl was first raped and later set on fire by the accused. The case was later handed over to the CBI from the Jharkhand police.
