Assam: Seven wagons of goods train derail

Guwahati/IBNS: Seven wagons of a goods train derailed at Naharkatia area in Assam’s Dibrugarh district.

According to the reports, the incident took place in between Naharkatia and Bahdhari area on Sunday morning.

The Guwahati-bound goods train was carrying lentils and it suddenly went off track losing seven wagons.

There is no report of any casualty in the incident.

Top railway officials, engineers have rushed to the spot and engaged in work to restore the train services.

Train services have been disrupted following the accident and the train services in the route are unlikely to be resumed in next few days.
