Assam: Security forces recover contraband drugs worth Rs 10 lakh and pistol

Guwahati/IBNS: Security forces recovered huge quantity of contraband drugs worth Rs 10 lakh and one 7.65 mm pistol in Assam’s Karimganj district on Sunday night.

According to the reports, based on intelligence input, troops of Assam Rifles and police had jointly launched operation at a house owned by Rejuyanul Karim at Abdulapur village near Nilambazar area in Karimganj district.

During the search operation, security personnel have recovered 80 packets of YABA tablet worth Rs 10 lakh and a 7.65mm pistol, 11 rounds live ammunition from the house.

Security personnel have apprehended two persons identified as Baharuddin and Matlub Ahmed in connection with it.
