Assam govt to consider Paresh Baruah's plea if he wants to see his ailing mother

Guwahati, Sept 16 (IBNS) : The Assam government on Wednesday said it will consider on humanitarian ground if ULFA(I) C-in-C Paresh Baruah desires to see his ailing mother.

Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday said that if Paresh Baruah desires to see his ailing mother in his native place, the state government would consider it on humanitarian ground.

ULFA(I) chief mother Miliki Baruah, an octogenarian social worker , has been ailing for some days.

Gogoi expressed concern over the illness of social activist of Jeraigaon, Panitola of Dibrugarh district Miliki Baruah and wished her speedy recovery.

The Assam CM while wishing her speedy recovery extended Rs 1 lakh as financial assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for her medical treatment.
