Assam CM Tarun Gogoi ordered an inquiry into the Gurdwara incident

Guwahati, Aug 24 (IBNS) : Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday had ordered an inquiry into the Gurdwara incident in Guwahati.

Joint Commissioner of City Police N.M.A.S.F. Haque will conduct the inquiry and submit report within seven days.

Meanwhile, acting on the prima facie, one Sub-Inspector has been suspended and three constables have been ordered for ‘reserve close’.

Ordering inquiry into the incident Gogoi said that, maintaining sanctity of any religious institutions or place is the top-most priority, and the government will do everything possible to uphold the sanctity of the religious institutions of all faiths.

He moreover said stern action will be taken against anybody proved guilty in the inquiry.
