New Delhi/IBNS: Former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa has landed himself in trouble after an arrest warrant was issued against him over an alleged fraud in the Provident Fund, media reports said.

The warrant has been issued by PF regional commissioner Shadakshari Gopal Reddy.

Uthappa is accused of deducting PF contributions from the salaries of employees who work at firm Centuries Lifestyle Brand Private Limited, which the former cricketer manages, but failed to deposit the money which amounts to Rs. 23 lakh.

As per a report by Deccan Chronicle, Uthappa is the director of the firm.

In a letter to the police, Reddy has directed to take action against Uthappa.

However, the warrant bounced back to Uthappa as he was found at his previous address.

Police have been instructed to arrest Uthappa and return the warrant.

The former opener of the Indian team is currently living in Dubai with his family, India Today reported.
