Army recovers huge cache of arms-ammunition in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati: Based on a  specific intelligence, Lekhapani Battalion of Red Shield Division under ageis of Spear Corps alongwith Arunachal Police launched a joint operation near Phenbiro, Changlang district, Arunachal Pradesh and recovered a cache of weapon, ammunition and suspected explosive while conducting search of the area.

The recoveries included an AK 56 rifle with four live rounds, two single shot Rifles, one Pistol with Magazine and three live rounds and other stores.

Recovered items were handed over to Police for further investigation.
