Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approves major administrative appointments

New Delhi, Dec 20 (IBNS): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Saturday approved some of the major appointments in the executive wing of governance.

It announced the appointment of Prakash Mishra, IPS, presently working as Special Secretary (IS), Ministry of Home Affairs, as Director General, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)

He will be working in the pay scale of Rs. 80,000/- (fixed) with effect from the date of his joining of the post up to the date of his superannuation i.e. 29.02.2016 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Along with that, it also announced the appointment of Arvind Saxena, as Director and Ex-officio Special Secretary, ARC.

He will be in the apex scale of Rs. 80,000/- from the date of assumption of charge of the post and up to 31.08.2015 (the date of his superannuation) or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Also the appointment of Rajinder Khanna, as Secretary, Research & Analysis Wing, Cabinet Secretariat was announced, vice Alok Joshi, IPS, on completion of his tenure on 30.12.2014, for a period of two years from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders, whichever is earlier, by granting extension in service under provisions of FR 56.
