Anupam Kher says Pakistan denied him visa, High Commission refutes
Mumbai, Feb 2 (IBNS): Indian actor Padma Bhushan Anupam Kher and the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi are locked in a verbal spat over the issue of visa to Kher for attending the Karachi Literature Festival that begins on Feb 5.
Kher claims that while the rest of the 17 participants were given a visa, the High Commission denied his.
The Pakistan High Commission has said that the actor never applied for the visa.
Kher tweeted "Has my visa been denied because I speak about India's rich tradition of tolerance or I am a Kashmiri Pandit who may expose Pak terror nexus?"
He also said that the Karachi Lit Fest had given his name to authorities one month back and had his name in every poster.
Kher further tweeted "I feel bad for all those people who were looking forward to meet me in Pakistan and vice versa. Sorry to them. Hopefully one day ..."
The Indian actor has also sent out a twitter message saying the media can meet him later on Tuesday "It is not possible to take calls from all media people. Pls come to my school at 5.30pm today. Wil talk."
