| | Jun 30, 2014, at 11:02 pm
New Delhi, June 30 (IBNS) Sarod maestro Amjad Alī Khān is in anguish. The Sarod he plays has been misplaced by the British Airways.

"After damaging my Sarod in 1997, British Airways now misplaces my Sarod. 48 hours and I still wait anxiously for..." tweeted the Padma Vibhushan.

The sarod that has been misplaced has been played by him for over four decades, said reports.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the British Airways said "intermittent problems" with the baggage system at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5 caused the misplacement.

"We are working round the clock to reunite customers with their bags. We are very sorry that this process is taking longer than anticipated, and we fully understand the frustration that this is causing," said the statement.
