All eyes on JD (U) national exec meet after 6 MLAs join BJP in Arunachal Pradesh
Patna/UNI: As national executive meeting of the JD(U) chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar commenced here today, all eyes are now set on its next move after the six of its seven MLAs switched over to BJP in Arunachal Pradesh.
Altogether 66 members of national executive of JD(U) besides its senior leaders are participating in the meeting.
JD (U) leaders across the country, including state presidents of the party, have also arrived here to attend the meeting of national executive and national council.
Speaking to the reporters ahead of the meeting, former Bihar minister and senior JD(U) leader Sanjay Jha expressed surprise that BJP had inducted six JD(U) MLAs into its fold.
JD(U) had been supporting the BJP government in Arunachal Pradesh where it was in full majority, he added.
Mr Jha, however, clarified that there would not be any impact on Arunachal Pradesh incident in BJP- JD(U) coalition government in Bihar.
Opposition leaders in Bihar were day-dreaming over the incident and they would not get any opportunity in the state in next five years, he added.
Another former minister and senior JD(U) leader Shravan Kumar said the Arunachal Pradesh incident had stunned his party.
He said happiness and sorrow come and go in life, apparently referring to the pain his party received in the Arunachal Pradesh incident.
