Akhilesh Yadav slams UP govt for preventing migrants entry

| @indiablooms | May 17, 2020, at 09:20 pm

Lucknow/UNI: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday slammed the Yogi Adityanath government for preventing the entry of migrant labourers in the state.

Accusing the BJP government of pursuing anti-labour and anti poor policies, the SP chief said in a statement here that , ''UP government has stopped the entry of migrant labourers on the borders of the state with Haryana and Rajasthan as if foreign forces are about to invade the state.''

He alleged that the migrant labourers were being forcibly stopped from entering the state at Saharanpur, Ghaziabad, Jhansi and Jalaun and this resulted in long traffic jams of about 10 kms on Lucknow- Kanpur road in Unnao.

"The team 11 constituted by the Chief Minister owes an answer to the people for such inhuman treatment of the migrant labourers'', Mr Yadav said adding ''is it the identity of UP where the battered hungry and thirsty poor are treated in such a manner.''
