Air Chief inaugurates Southern Air Commanders' Conference

New Delhi, May 29 (IBNS): A three days Annual Commanders' Conference of Southern Air Command (SAC) was inaugurated by Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha, Chief of the Air Staff, on Thursday.

Commanders of all the Stations under HQ SAC are attending the conference. After taking over this is CAS’s maiden visit to SAC.

CAS along with Lily Raha, President AFWWA, were received by Air Marshal AP Garud, AOC-in-C SAC and Sulochana Garud, President AFWWA (Regional) at Trivandrum. On arrival the CAS reviewed a Guard of Honour.

In his inaugural address, the CAS acknowledged the hard work and professionalism of all air warriors of Southern Air Command.

He emphasized the importance of inculcating moral values, qualities of Leadership, mental and physical prowess and an indomitable spirit to win against all odds.

He also urged the Air Warriors to be fully involved in the process of IAF’s modernization towards full spectrum strategic force. He re-emphasized the need to keep abreast with the modern developments and technologies for smooth transition and better absorption of modern equipment.

The Chief underlined the importance of staying physically fit and mentally agile so as to meet the challenge of transformation. He reiterated the need to work hard towards the organizational goal with loyalty and dedication.

CAS awarded trophies to the units for their accomplishments and performance.
