Panaji, May 24 (IBNS): Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Saturday said the actions taken against 31-year-old Devu Chodankar for his alleged anti-Narendra Modi remarks on a Facebook group were as per law.

"A prominent citizen complained about a Facebook post, which was registered as per SC guidelines by the police.Anticipatory bail was rejected by court as per evidence & Govt. has no role.Contrary to the propaganda the person has not appeared before police after being summoned twice," the Goa CM tweeted.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Chodankar  for his alleged remarks on the social networking site.

Protests took place  outside the police headquarters in Panaji against actions taken against  Chodankar  and the attempts made by the police to arrest him.
