| | Mar 16, 2015, at 08:17 pm
New Delhi, Mar 16(IBNS) As internal strife continued to dog Delhi's ruling AAP, the party's suspended on Monday former legislator Rajesh Garg for indulging in "anti-party activity".

The action against the former MLA from Rohini came following a controversy over an audio recording of  purported conversation between him and  a man  he alleged was party chief Arvind Kejriwal. The conversation centred around how to secure the support of six Congress MLAs to form an AAP government in t the Capital.

Reports said the party had taken suo moto cognizance of Garg's statements in the media about the audio and believed that he had leaked the recording to TV channels to defame AAP.

Garg has been suspended pending an inquiry by the state disciplinary committee of the party.

As Garg went public with the audio, AAP' senior leader from Maharashtra  Anjali Damania resigned, saying she had not joined the party for horse trading.

While denying that there was any attempt to go for horse trading, the party admitted that thoughts were given in the past on possible political alignments.
