AAP attacks BJP for taking out 'Vikas Yatra' in Delhi amid Manipur crisis

New Delhi/UNI: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for organising a 'Vikas Yatra' in Delhi while the situation in Manipur is cause of concern.

In the recent situation, AAP chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar alleged that the BJP government failed to address the critical situation prevailing in Manipur.

Kakkar highlighted the severity of the situation by pointing out that the residences of Union Minister of State Rajkumar Ranjan and a female minister were set on fire. These disturbing incidents raised serious questions about the ruling BJP's ability to maintain law and order in the region, AAP said in a statement.

“Kakkar questioned BJP's claims of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in mediating the conflict between Ukraine and Russia through a single phone call, while the ongoing situation in Manipur remains unresolved,” the statement said.

Kakkar claimed that keeping the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in mind, the BJP minister started "Vikas Tirth Yatra" on Saturday.

"We understand the reality of the BJP's Vikas Model when we go out to fill petrol and diesel in our vehicles, or when we buy milk and groceries that have surged because of inflation," she said.
