5 hurt as old building collapses in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jan 28 (IBNS): A portion of a dilapidated building collapsed at Premchand Boral Street under Muchipara Police Station limits in north Kolkata on Saturday morning, leaving at least five persons injured, media reports said.

According to reports, part of the old residential building suddenly fell down at around 10 am.

At least five persons, including three women, were injured in the incident and rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police force have been deployed to the area, while the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has started dismantling the remaining portion of the building.
