3 killed in Uttarakhand cloudburst

Tehri, July 31 (IBNS): At least three people were killed and three others went missing as they were hit by a cloudburst in Uttarakhand following a spell of incessant rain, sources said.

The incident took place at Nautar village at Ghansali tehsil late Wednesday night.

Two houses have been completely damaged in the incident while a few others have been partly damaged.

Senior police officials along with disaster management teams and medical personnel already reached the spot to carry out rescue operation, a district official said.

“The search is now on for the three missing villagers,” the official said.
