11 NDFB(S) militants nabbed in Chiang district

Guwahati, Jan 19 (IBNS): Security forces busted camp of NDFB(S) and apprehended 11 cadres of the outfit group in Assam's Chiang district on Sunday night, police said on Monday.
Following a tip-off, police and army had jointly launched operation at Panbari reserve forest area in BTAD Chirang district and nabbed 11 cadres belonging to NDFB(S).
 
Assam police IGP of BTAD Dr LR Bisnoi said that security forces recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in possession from the nabbed militants.
 
The apprehended militants were identified as Devani Goyari, Hokom Boro, Upendra Nath, Ratan Bangali, Namal Basumutary, Sanjay Goyari, Ulla Basumutary, Raju Boro, Konin Basumutary, Prakash Narzary alias Gahen, Ranjan Basumutary alias Kipihungla.
 
Security forces recovered two IED's, two 7.65mm pistols, nine detonators, 10 rounds 7.65mm ammunition, five rounds 7.62mm ammunition, packet of ball bearing in possession of them.
 
On Sunday, Assam police, army and NIA had jointly launched operation in Assam - Arunachal Pradesh border and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition of the outfit group who involved in the recent massacre in Sonitpur and Kokrajhar district left more than 80 people dead.
