Bokaro, July 11 (IBNS): A 10-year-old girl has been raped by some men in a Jharkhand village near Bokaro on the order of a headman who tried to adjudicate a complaint of harassment of another girl by the victim's brother, said media reports on Friday.

While some reports said the victim is 14 year old, according to details emerging from the village, the minor girl was taken inside a forest and raped by three men on Tuesday last after she was dragged out of her home in front of all villagers.

One of the accused in the rape is the brother of another girl of the village with whom reportedly the victim's brother had misbehaved.

When the harassment was taken to the kangaroo court of the headman, the headman ordered that the harasser's sister should be raped.

All three men accused of raping the girl were arrested, said Bokaro Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh.
