Yoga enthusiasts celebrate International Yoga Day across the globe

The tenth International Yoga Day was celebrated across the globe with enthusiasts participating in the traditional exercise form, pledging to keep themselves fit.

From New York to Tel Aviv, similar scenes of yoga practising participants were seen in several cities across the globe.

In New York, people gathered in the Times Square to join the celebration.

The participants were seen performing various Yoga postures to mark the day.

" Highlights of 10th IDY celebration at @TimesSquareNYC! The
@UN in December 2014, had unanimously adopted a resolution piloted by India to celebrate International Day of Yoga on June 21 which is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere," the Indian Consulate in New York posted on X.

A similar session was held in the Israeli city of Tel Aviv where participants performed the Asanas while also seeking justice for those hostage kidnapped by Hamas last year on October 7.

The Embassy of India in Israel also hosted a yoga event in the city.

Similar yoga sessions were held in Shanghai, Ireland,Nepal and many other place around the globe.
