US education fairs to be held in four Indian cities
These education fairs will bring together admission officers from more than 40 American universities, and students aspiring to pursue higher education in the US
Hosted by KIC UnivAssist, the education fair in Mumbai will be held at the Taj Lands End hotel from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, Sept 1, 2016 (with workshops beginning at 5:00 pm).
These fairs will provide opportunity for students and their parents to meet with representatives from US universities and get answers to their queries about the various degree programs, eligibility requirements, fee structure, living expenses, and other application procedures at these universities.
The fair in Mumbai will be preceded by workshops starting at 5:00 pm, which will include a session on US visa requirements led by a representative from the US Consulate in Mumbai.
Ganesh Kohli (Chief Mentor, KIC UnivAssist), an educator who has has counseled thousands of students for almost two decades, will lead a session on critical aspects of American higher education and guidance about financial aid and scholarships. To attend the sessions and the fair, students can register free of charge through the KIC UnivAssist’s mobile app “StudentAssist”, or on www.univassist.com/student.aspx.
Free registrations will also be available onsite, the day of the event at the venue.
Speaking about the current education scenario, Kohli said, “The American education system boosts academic, professional, and personal development of individuals.”
Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, in his address during his recent visit to the US had pointed out that various American universities have played a key role in nurturing many institutes of technology and management in India.
With over 1,32,000 Indian students currently studying in the US, the country is undoubtedly the preferred choice for Indian students seeking education abroad.
“There are large numbers of Indian students aiming to enter this high quality American education system and they all need to find their ideal educational fit. This is where KIC UnivAssist plays a role,” Kohli added.
The US is home to more than 27 percent of the world’s higher education institutions.
