Union Ministry of Culture organizes cultural exchange programme in Daporijo, Arunachal Pradesh

Daporijo/Arunachal Pradesh: The union ministry of culture organized a lively village programme under the banner of AKAM in Taksing village, located in the Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh on Sunday.

The programme featured colorful dances performed by the Nah community of the Tagin tribe, which proved to be a major attraction, reported The Arunachal Times.

In addition to the vibrant village programme, a one-day cultural exchange programme took place in Daporijo.

The event featured a cultural troupe from Bhubaneshwar performing the traditional dances of Odisha.

Along with the Tagin folk dance, an exhibition showcasing tribal handloom and handicrafts was also a major highlight of the programme.

Several dignitaries, including Art and Culture Director Somcha Lowang, DC Mika Nyori, and officials from the union ministry of culture, were present to witness the event.
