Supreme Court vacates its stay order on admission to engineering courses through JEE 2017

New Delhi, Jul 10 (IBNS): The Supreme Court of India on Monday vacated the stay on counselling and admission in IITs through 2017, according to media reports.

The apex court's decision came as a huge relief to students who were seeking admission in the engineering courses in IITs, NITs and other colleges. media reported.

The SC had earlier stayed the admission and counselling on a petition that bonus marks were given to all students in a particular question owing to printing error in the question paper.

According to a section of students, the awarding of bonus mark to all, whether they attempted the question or not, was likely to affect their scores and rankings.
