Nagaland hosted two-day long Tsükhenyie 2023 in  Pfutseromi village under Phek district recently.

The festival was organized by Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Nagaland, reports The Morung Express.

Gracing the cultural event, MLA Dr. Neisatu Mero thanked tourism & higher education minister Temjen Imna Along for gracing the inaugural function of the festival on April 24, the news portal reported.

He also thanked the presence of CAWD & taxes advisor Kudecho Khamo, NPF Legislature Party leader MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu and MLA Kevipodi Sophie.

He acknowledged CPO, tourism department, district administration, various departments, cultural troupes, participants, media, host Pfutseromi village and all visitors and tourists for the grand celebration.

“Music emanates to all streams of our lives. It connects to our mind, body and soul. In times of melancholy, listening to a good music gives a sense of relief to our mind. Music dives to the innermost core of our mind,” Dr. Mero said and encouraged the scholars, historians and musicians to do research and record the originality of “our folk dances, folk tunes and folklores.”
