Make in India Week to be the highlight of the University of Edinburgh's India visit
Aimed at strengthening academic and research partnerships in India, the university will showcase its research, design and technology excellence in India.
One of the biggest highlights of the visit will be participation of students and academicians at the Make in India Week in Mumbai.
The globally renowned pioneer of Li-Fi technology Harald Haas, Edinburgh’s Head of Mobile Communications, will be demonstrating the path breaking technology and exploring its potential at the Make in India week and IIT-Bombay.
Another expert at the University, Dr. Jamie Cross will lead a team of students at the Make in India-Hackathon to develop ideas that solve urban design challenges. University of Edinburgh is the only international university to have been shortlisted at the MII-Hackathon.
Apart from MIIW, experts will also participate in a series of public lectures and academic events on a number of projects including marine renewable technology, animal husbandry and Indian politics across the various locations.
The range of events and meetings will provide an opportunity for Edinburgh to maximise awareness of its academic, teaching and research partnerships in India.
