Little Thespian organizes 'Krishan aur Bhisham' theatre fest

Kolkata, Jun 5 (IBNS): Little Thespian, a Kolkata based theatre group going to pay homage to Krishan Chander and Bhisham Sahni.

Little Thespian going organize it’s 5th National Theatre Festival named “Krishan Aur Bhisham.”

This festival is financially assisted by Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.

The festival will be held at Gyan Manch from June 11 to June 16.

Teams from different parts of the country like Jammu, Patna and New Delhi are invited to perform their plays; there will be a two days national level seminar on Krishan Chander and Bhisham Sahni.

There will also be dramatic story reading sessions of these two writers.

Om Prakash Bharti, Director, Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre will inaugurate the programme on 11th June, Thursday at 6:00 pm at Gayan Manch.

Plays like “Chahato’n Ka Kya,” “Kabira Khada Bazar Mein”, “Narmedh” and “Ek Qalam Sadak Kinaare” will be shown in the festival.

Uma Jhunjhunwala, founder of the society said, “We are the only theatre group to organize Urdu and Hindi theatre festival in Kolkata.”
