Kolkata, June 6 (IBNS) 'Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love.' Probably, keeping this message of Mother Teresa in mind, Kolkata-based India Green Reality Pvt. Ltd. has taken an initiative called 'Khushee' to extend a helping hand towards the underprivileged children until they become self-sufficient in a given field.

The company has organized a recycled tant waste material garment fashion show to raise funds for the same.

Coinciding with this World Environment Day theme of June 5, "7 billion dreams. 1 planet. Consume with care.", India Green Reality organised the exhibition of designer Recycled Tant Waste fashion, showcasing garments created out of rejected tant materials from Fulia in Nadia district of West Bengal.

Internationally trained fashion designer Nandan Das, who has working with the weavers of Fulia for the last five years,  has designed all the clothes, mainly ethnic wear.

He said, '"All the product are made from tant waste materials or export rejects and are 100 per cent natural fabric woven by expert weavers from Fulia in Nadia district."

The fund, collected throughout the exhibition will be utilised to give the underprivileged children of Khushee, a bright future and also help the neglected weavers from Fulia to earn some money.

Khushee in an attempt to find an effective solution, has identified children with exceptional talent in certain fields, who, with the help of corporate funding, individual contributions and social support, can spread their wings and proliferate into who they are meant to become.

On being asked about this initiative to the director of India Green Reality  Amitava Samanta said, "This is a small step to prevent underprivileged children from becoming anti-social which is a common scenario."

Surojit Chatterjee of the Bhoomi fame, alongside Nandan Das and the children from Khushee inaugurated the exhibition.
