J&K: In-person teaching for civil services, NEET coaching to continue

Srinagar/IBNS: The State Executive Committee for the Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Sunday extended the Covid19 containment guidelines in J&K till further orders.

The order in this regard was issued by the committee in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under section 24 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.

"The guidelines on Covid19 containment in the J&K already notified shall continue to remain in force till further orders,” the official direction read.

As per the order, coaching centres offering tuition for civil services, engineering and NEET examination have been allowed to function with fully vaccinated staff and students.

"The head of the centre shall ensure that the guidelines related to social distancing and Covid protocols are adhered to,” it read.

Notably, the rush of the students preparing for civil services examination and various national level competitive examinations increases in the coaching centres during the winter months.

The other tuition centers offering coaching for lower classes will continue to remain closed for onsite and in-person teaching, it added.
