Irish writer Paul Lynch wins 2023 Booker Prize

Irish writer Paul Lynch has won the 2023 Booker Prize for his novel Prophet Song, the organisers of the literary award said on Sunday.

"Paul Lynch’s fifth novel is the winner of the Booker Prize 2023... Prophet Song was announced as the winner of the Booker Prize 2023 on November 26 at a ceremony in London," a statement read.

The organizers noted that Lynch also became the fifth Irish writer to win this prestigious award.
