Mumbai, Sep 15 (IBNS): Thousands of devotees congregated in Mumbai to bid adieu to the famous Ganesh idol, Lalbaugcha Raja (King of Lalbaug), on Thursday as the idol was taken for immersion in the Arabian Sea in Girgaon Chowpatty.

The state police has made stringent security arrangements for this and other processions that will take place throughout the day. Traffic restrictions are also in place.

It is said that more than a million people visited Lalbaugcha Raja during the 10-day Ganesh Utsav that began on Sep 5.

The Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh Visarjan is being telecast live through the Lalbaug360 app, according to media sources.
