CBSE plans to hold Class 10 board exams twice a year: Reports

New Delhi/IBNS: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is planning to conduct Class 10 board exams twice a year from the 2026 academic year, media reports said.

As per news agency PTI, the board approved draft norms for conducting two board exams for Class 10 from 2026.

The draft norms will now be put in the public domain and the stakeholders will be able to submit their feedback by March 9.

Based on the feedback, the policy will be finalised.

According to the draft, the biannual exams will begin in 2026, with the first scheduled from February 17 to March 6.

The second phase will be conducted from May 5 to 20.

Both the examinations will be conducted on the full current syllabus and the text-books.
