Patna, Feb 19 (IBNS): The Bihar School Examination Board has directed all students not to wear shoes and socks while appearing for Class X examination, which is scheduled to begin on Feb 21, media reports said.

The new order has been passed by the board primarily to prevent cheating inside the examination hall.

The new directive has stated students will have to leave their shoes and socks outside the hall.

Students can only wear slippers inside the examination hall.

Bihar Education Minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma has appreciated the new circular passed by the examination board.

Appreciating the move, Verma said it will reduce the time spent on checking of shoes and socks before students enter the examination hall and also prevent cheating.
