Assam: Guwahati hosts National Street Food Festival & Eat Right Millet Mela

Guwahati:  The National Street Food Festival & Eat Right Millet Mela was recently hosted in Assam capita; Guwahati city.

The four-day event has been organised in the city to encourage the use of millet as a part of the daily diet of the people, reports The Sentinel Assam.

More than 30 shops were set up at the venue where food items made out of millets were showcased.

The event is being organised by the All India Street Vendors Association and the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, reports the news portal.

The event was flagged off by the Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Science and Technology, Information & Technology Departments for the government of Assam, Keshab Mahanta.

The Minister had asked people to visit the event.
