AMPAI announces the counselling for Entrance Examination

Kolkata, June 18 (IBNS): The Association of Minority Professional Academic Institutes (AMPAI), - a registered body under WB Society Registration Act 1961 - popularly known as ‘AMPAI’, announced on Thursday that an offline counselling session would be conducted on June 20-21 in eight locations simultaneously across various states of India.

The cities include Kolkata, Kalyani, Durgapur and Siliguri in West Bengal along with Ranchi in Jharkhand; Patna in Bihar; Guwahati in Assam as well as Agartala in Tripura.

This is the first time in the history of the nation that simultaneous counselling will be conducted in remote locations of Indian states post the online publishing of the results of the Common Entrance Examination “CEE-AMPAI-2015-WB”.

The “CEE-AMPAI-2015-WB” was conducted for admission to 4 years B.Tech and B.Pharm courses as per GO issued by Dept. of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal.

The offline counselling will be a golden opportunity for all B.Pharm and B. Tech. aspirants as during this session the rank holders will be able to interact one-on-one with the AMPAI counsellors and also become aware of the institution they were selected in.

In terms of the admission purpose, the counsellors and the convenor of “CEE-AMPAI-2015-WB” shall give first preference to Sikh minority students residing in West Bengal and second preference to Sikh minority students residing outside of West Bengal.

In case of general category students, third preference will be given to general category students residing in West Bengal and 4th preference to general category students residing outside West Bengal.

Commenting on this occasion, Sohan Singh – Secretary, AMPAI said, “I am overwhelmed by the positive responses we have received for the offline Common Entrance Examination “CEE-AMPAI-2015-WB” this year. I would also like to congratulate all B.Pharm and B. Tech. aspirants who have passed the common entrance examination with flying colours.”

He said,” I wish all of you students the best for your career and your future.”
