UP: Zika virus spreads to Kannauj

Kannauj/UNI: Zika Virus, which is creating havoc in Kanpur, has now started spreading its tentacles and the first case outside Kanpur was reported from Kannauj on Saturday.

According to health officials, a 45-year-old man in Kannauj was detected with Zika virus.

The youth might have contracted the virus from Kasamau village in Shivrajpur area of Kanpur, where he went recently, they said.

Altogether 30 people along with the infected man were tested for Zika virus on November 3 last. The report of the test was received on Saturday.

The total number of Zika virus cases in Kanpur touched 79 on Saturday.
