Three people, including a child, die in wild elephant attack along Assam-Meghalaya border

Guwahati: At least three people, including a child, were killed in a wild elephant attack in Assam’s Goalpara district along the Assam-Meghalaya border on Monday.

The incident took place at Kurang village.

According to the forest official, a herd of wild elephants came to the area from nearby hills of Meghalaya in search for food and attacked the people.

“Three people including a child were killed in elephant attack. The incident ocurred along Assam-Meghalaya bordering area,” a forest official said.
