New Delhi, Apr 3 (IBNS): Private weather forecaster Skymet on Wednesday said that India might experience 'below normal' Monsoon this year.

In its website, Skymet said: "According to Skymet Weather, Monsoon 2019 is likely to be ‘below normal’ to the tune of 93% (with an error margin of +/-5%) of the long period average (LPA) of 887 mm for the four-month period from June to September."

Skymet said ElNino is the cause for below normal rains this season.

In a tweet, Skymet said chances of El Niño to be 60% for June to August.
