Shabuj Shapath: Plant more trees says Shrachi Group

Burdwan, August 10 (IBNS): Shrachi Group, organised 'Shabuj Shapath', an event to spread the message of 'green revolution' through tree plantation, on Monday, at Burdwan (West Bengal).

Rabi Ranjan Chattopadhay, Chairman of Burdwan Development Authority and Ravi Todi, Managing director of Shrachi Group were present at the event, organised at Burdwan's Renaissance Township.

Renaissance Township in Burdwan is spread across 254 acres out of which 120 acres consist of 700 families.

Ravi Todi of Shrachi Group said: “We have always advocated and practiced sustainable development and ensured that in our townships certain areas are kept green.”

“We have planted more than ten thousand trees in this township," said Todi.

“We have taken a pledge to keep 30 percent of the whole area in this township green," he added.

Rabi Ranjan Chattopadhay, Chairman of BDA who attended the tree planting session, said: “For a peaceful mind and life, greenery is necessary.”
