Security forces arrest a poacher in Assam’s Baksa district

Guwahati, Dec 1 (IBNS) : Security forces on Saturday arrested a poacher in Assam’s Baksa district.

According to the reports, based on intelligence inputs, the  Assam police and Gorkha Rifles jointly launched an  operation at Simalabasti area under Nikashi police station along the Indo-Bhutan border and arrested the poacher.

The man was identified as Toya Ekka. He was involved in several poaching incidents in the Dihira Reserve Forest.

Security personnel have recovered one point 22 pistol, one handmade single barrel gun and three rounds of live ammunition from his  possession.
