Rains likely in West Uttar Pradesh on March 20

Lucknow, Mar 18 (UNI) Several areas in Western UP are likely to experience rainfall on March 20, the weatherman said here on Monday.

The weather department said that the maximum temperatures fell appreciably in Varanasi and Allahabad divisions on Sunday, whereas the maximum temperature remained below normal in Faizabad, Jhansi, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Moradabad and Meerut divisions.

Basti remained the hottest with the maximum temperature hovering at 31 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

Minimum temperatures fell appreciably in the state capital Lucknow whereas in the Allahabad division, it remained below normal while remaining largely unchanged in other districts of the state.

Lakhimpur Kheri was coldest in state with minimum temperatures recorded at 10.4 degree Celsius.
