PM Modi congratulates ISRO for successful launch of navigation satellite IRNSS-1I

New Delhi, Apr 12 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated all scientists for the successful launch of navigation satellite  IRNSS-1I by PSLV on Thursday.

In a tweet, Modi said: "Congratulations to our scientists on the successful launch of navigation satellite IRNSS-1I by PSLV. This success will bring benefits of our space programme to the common man. Proud of team @isro!"

ISRO's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) went to space from Sri Harikota, Andhra Pradesh at 4.04 am on Thursday.

The launch has occurred two weeks after the failure of GeoSynchoronus Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) rocket due to systems error.
