Addressing the state level Vanamahostav organized at the Rajbhawan UP School, Naveen said an additional four crore trees would be distributed to various organizations, institutions and individuals.

He said 80 lakh trees would be planted under the Post Fani Coastal Shelter Belt and afforestation this year. About 50 lakh plants would be distributed free to various institutions and people in areas affected by cyclonic storm Fani, the CM said.

The plantation is going on under various other schemes like Aam Jungle Yojana, Green Mahanadi Mission, sacred groves, Sabuja Odisha Mission.

The extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani which hit Odisha near Puri on May 3 last had destroyed 22 lakh trees in the coastal Odisha.
