Merlin Group organizes health check-up camp for workers

Kolkata, Mar 14 (IBNS): Real estate developers, Merlin Group, on Saturday initiated health check up camps for the second consecutive year to offer preliminary health check up to construction workers at their upcoming iconic shopping mall, Acropolis, at Rash Behari Connector in Kolkata.

309 workers attended the camp at the project site.

The health camp which include check-up of eye, nose, throat, nutrition, diabetes and overall health indicators which will be offered along with free medicine assistance under guidance of specialized doctors and medical team from KPC Medical College & Hospital.

To give impetus to the thought of a healthy and hygienic work environment, Merlin Group has tied up with KPC Medical College & Hospital, a world class institute and healthcare delivery system in Kolkata. This activity will be run over two days, on 14th March and 21st March, respectively, at Acropolis.

Sushil Mohta, Managing Director, Merlin Group, stated, “At Merlin Group, we believe in nurturing a healthy work environment for all our construction workers who give shape to our dreams of creating iconic structures. The health of these workers is thus paramount in our scheme for building a long lasting relationship and to improve efficiency at workplace. Our motto to ensure superior health profile of workers at the state-of-the-art Acropolis Mall will possibly help to create the difference in lives of those who are the pillars of our project.”

Over these two days doctors from KPC Medical College & Hospital will check the workers and provide a basic medical report and a prescription based on a physical examination of their chest and abdomen, random blood glucose count and a record of their height, weight and blood pressure, plus their blood grouping.

Those throwing up any alarming signal would be advised to escalate medical attention. In case any worker has a long term ailment Merlin Group will also bear the cost of their treatment. Representatives from Merlin Group and medical staffs/volunteers from KPC Medical College & Hospital will also distribute booklets and explain the details for the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
